    It’s Tuesday morning. The sky is blue and the sun is shining. Outside is calling and I can’t get motivated to tackle my never ending Hadrian’s Wall of a to do list. In the past half hour at my desk I’ve made a coffee. Replied to a WhatsApp message. Glimpsed briefly at my inbox. Stared blankly at my screen. Looked at my to do list. Drunk my coffee. And….looked at the blue sky a lot. When it comes to procrastination, there is nobody to rival my incredible talent. Why is it that sometimes you just can’t get motivated?     Being a self-employed mum with a child with additional needs

    I’ve thought long and hard about whether or not to share this. I guess I’m usually of the ilk that I don’t post loads of personal stuff in my business context because it detracts and maybe even devalues the business stuff.     I call BS on flatlay images.

    I know, I’m a killjoy, but I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with flatlay images. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not completely dead inside – more often than not I’ll see a beautifully curated flatlay and think “oooh that’s pretty”, but 99% of the time it’s also followed by the practical part of my brain scoffing “but seriously, WTF, who just casually sets up some freshly cut flowers with some streamers of colour coordinated ribbon beside their laptop before starting work”.   Am I alone in this?   Am I just a misery,  sucking the happiness out of the beauty of these images that are undeniably pretty but…
